Elaine Coustan-Smith
Elaine Coustan-Smith is Principal Research Scientist in the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Before moving to Singapore in 2011 she was Laboratory Manager in the Department of Oncology at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and Chief Medical Laboratory Scientific Officer in the Department of Immunology at the Royal Free Hospital, London. Her main research interest is to develop novel approaches to the classification and monitoring of leukemia and lymphoma, with a particular focus on detection of minimal residual disease by flow cytometry. She has more than 100 publications in peer reviewed journals.
