Christopher Peacock

Associate Professor Christopher Peacock has spent more than 20 years researching tropical neglected diseases in the UK, Brazil, West Africa and Australia. He has a specific interest in leishmaniasis; having published papers in both Science and nature genetics in this field. He has developed an expertise in bioinformatics, pathogen sequencing, immunogenetics and host-pathogen interactions. After moving to Australia in 2007 he established a research group based at the University of Western Australia specializing in host pathogens interactions, comparative genomics and metagenomics of pathogens. He also holds an honorary research position at the Telethon Kids Institute.
